Sunday we had a guest speaker at church and he was talking about generosity. He referenced John 3:16, probably one of the most widely known bible verses, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only son.." Now I've heard this verse a zillion times and have believed it since I was a small child. I believe God gave his only son. But when I heard that verse on Sunday, it made an impact on me like it never has. Now that I have my own child, I understand differently the kind of SACRIFICE God did for us! Sorry, but I'd never sacrifice Emma Grace for a bunch of worthless sinners such as us! But God did! He gave his only child for me and for you, "...that if we believe in him, we might have eternal life". John 3:16
Amazing! Thank you God today for sacrificing your only son Jesus, so that I can be forgiven and live eternally with you~

Ya know, I never really thought about it like that. I wouldn't give Tucker up for some worthless sinners, so I can't imagine given a child up - so you're right - it was a HUGE thing he did for us - and I'm right there with you...THANK YOU God for doing that for us!!! Wow!! Thanks for sharing that thought and bringing attention to what a HUGE thing He did!!
