Trip to Va

We went to see Steph and Tony in Va last weekend. As usual we had a great time! Emma Grace stayed with Grammie Kathy (Steph's mom) on Saturday night so we could go to the Rascal Flats concert.

Steph and I met Mandy for lunch and this is Emma Grace and Mandy's little guy Christopher. I think Christopher was enamored by Emma Grace's cuteness, b/c he kept staring at her! I'm sure she'll have that effect on all the boys! :) ha!!

So a few weeks ago I caught Emma Grace practicing cheerleading motions... :) ha ha- Anyway yesterday, she and grandma had a photo shoot and she was working on her new cheer....

John 3:16

Sunday we had a guest speaker at church and he was talking about generosity. He referenced John 3:16, probably one of the most widely known bible verses, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only son.." Now I've heard this verse a zillion times and have believed it since I was a small child. I believe God gave his only son. But when I heard that verse on Sunday, it made an impact on me like it never has. Now that I have my own child, I understand differently the kind of SACRIFICE God did for us! Sorry, but I'd never sacrifice Emma Grace for a bunch of worthless sinners such as us! But God did! He gave his only child for me and for you, "...that if we believe in him, we might have eternal life". John 3:16

Amazing! Thank you God today for sacrificing your only son Jesus, so that I can be forgiven and live eternally with you~

WHATEVER

I am so sure! That I just called the county Animal Protection b/c there is a stray dog lingering around and when I went to shew it away it was growling and barking at me. So I am describing the dog to the man on the phone and telling him that I think it might be aggressive, it's been here about a week and that there is small children in our neighborhood, plus it's driving my dog nuts. He says, well we'll try to get someone out there but if we can't catch it, it's doesn't sound like it's a problem. I said why? He said (all sarcastically) "well we've waited a week and a half to call, haven't we?" I said, excuse me? What does that have to do with anything? He said, well if it's been there that long it must not be causing you too much problems. I said, Whatever! And hung up on him.

Does it sound like someone just doesn't want to get off their lazy butt and DO THEIR JOB!!!! UM YES!

Wow- I haven't posted since June 2nd? It's the 13th! That's b/c we've been very busy. Last weekend we went up to VA for my brother's graduation from medical school. Then left from there Sat. and drove to the beach until Tuesday! So here are some pics from the weekend and beach. Miss Emma Grace is 5 weeks old!
