CAT DIARY

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry
nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat
something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would
strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they
merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary
confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food.
I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means,
and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving
around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.

The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than
willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

My first modeling session

mommy and me

Emma Grace is officially 24 hours old. She must have had a hard day with all the attention yesterday so today all she has done was sleep. She looks more amazing everytime I look at her. Her skin is perfect and her color is a nice pink color. She likes to be held tight and rocked. Great Aunt Kristin and Great Uncle Rick came to visit, then Great Uncle Mike came to see Emma Grace. Both Grandparents have visited and Aunt Hannie has been here all day. Surprisingly Daddy has been gone since 230- getting necessities from the house for me and Emma Grace. Im sure he is dying to get back to his precious girl.

Baby pics

Our little princess....

Emma Grace

Hey guys thanks for being patient with us. Emma Grace is like her mother, on her own schedule, but anyway she's here. 7 lbs 15 ounces and 21 inches long. I'm just happy that she looks like Sarah. Photos will follow shortly as soon as get settled in our new room.. God is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Emma Grace is here!!!!!

C section it is....

so after long anticipation and no changes Dr Martin decided along with Sarah and Bradley that a c section is the way to go. no sense in continuing to labor with no affect. Luckily the OR isnt too busy today so they were able to schedule the C section for 1:30 pm. Sarah is now nervous but happy. The doctors are discussing the procedure with her right now. The nurses have been very nice and informative.
Please say a quick prayer that all goes well before, during and after for Sarah and of course Emma Grace...

talk to everyone around 2:30 with Baby News

11am

Nothing has really changed, the pitocin has been increased. Sarahs contractions are still coming- more frequently. She hasnt gotten any more pain medication. Sarah didnt really like the way it made her feel.
Karla and Hannah arrived around 10am... so now we are sitting around waiting.... and waiting....and waiting...

keep her in your prayers... also pray that Sarahs hunger feeling will go away as she isnt able to eat anything except clear liquids... guess the post baby diet is starting early.

Still Here.

Well after a night of contracting, and a painful morning without pitocin, the doctors can't decide whether or not to officially induce. Still not a lot of progression in the cervix. I have learned that Stadol works pretty well. It's a pain medication, and right now, it's working. More info in a couple of hours. Oh, the clock on this blog isn't right. It's 740 now. BDC

Starting Soon!!

Sarah was just taken off the Cervidel after about six hours of it, and they will start the pitocin around 600 (540 now). Everything is going just fine, except her comfort level is declining a bit. I guess it's really time for Emma Grace to show. Maybe we'll have good news soon.

At Rex finally!!!!

We're here finally, and the process has begun. Sarah will receive Cervidel a little later, and they will induce tomorrow morning. Everybody pray it all goes well. We're certain it will because Emma Grace is a miracle from God, and He will coach us through the whole process. God is good. BTW this is my first blog ever!!!!!!

Waiting on the call...

It seems all I'm doing lately is waiting. All my friends with kid's say this is the easiest part. But I'm not sure. So it's about 7pm Sunday night. We are waiting on the hospital to call us to tell us to come in to start the cervadil *(sp?). My doc said if they haven't called by 8 to call them. I'm so anxious, I'm getting ready to call now!!

I don't really feel nervous- surprisingly. Just anxious. Anxious for it to be over and to hold my little girl. I wish I could fast fwd. through this whole bit and stop where I have just given birth and she's in my arms!

Hopefully next time I post I'm either a mom OR I'm passing time with an epidural in and a baby on her way out!

We have a date!

Went back to the doctor yesterday. First we had another ultrasound. Everything still looks really good. Baby is still doing fine. And yes, she's still a girl! :) I asked the u-tech to look again and make sure Emma Grace hadn't grown any boy parts. She laughed, but checked and was like, oh no- those are definitely girl parts!!! Thee u-tech did an estimated birth weight...... 7lbs. 15 oz!!! Holy moly! Then they said, well give or take 15 oz. So she's either between 7 or 9 lbs. Nice "estimate"! Hope she's not closer to 9- I'm never getting her out if she is! The doctor checked me again and I still haven't made any progress.

So, they will admit me on Sunday night and begin administering some drug that starts with a c. Can't remember the name. Then Monday morning begin the actual inducing using potocin (sp). So baby on Monday? Maybe?! Hopefully not Tuesday! :) Either way- she's coming out soon and I at least have an end date in sight!

FOR STEPH

Happy Anniversary!! I was thinking this morning as I got up- wouldn't it be cool if Emma Grace shared Steph's special day?! Maybe.... day's not over with yet :)
